  20. DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------------
  21. KIDSCON ver 5.0 (Kids Concentration) is a game that is based on the
  22. old game of Concentration.  This program was designed with kids in
  23. mind to help them develop their concentration skills, hand-eye
  24. coordination (via the mouse), while learning about the alphabet,
  25. numbers, and colors. The program contains five different matching
  26. games for variety, each supporting three levels of difficulty.  A
  27. pleasant female voice is used throughout, along with actual animal
  28. sounds, and other sound effects.

  30. PREVIOUS INSTALLATION ----------------------------------------------
  31. If you have a previously installed version of KIDSCON, (ver 4.1 or
  32. lower), you should delete all the previous installed files before
  33. you install this new version. You can do this by deleting the
  34. KIDSCON directory which will delete all files contained within the
  35. directory (KIDSCON.EXE, README.TXT, and all 82 KC_?????.WAV files),
  36. as they are no longer required.

  38. If you have registered a previous version, you DO NOT have to
  39. register again.

  41. INSTALLING KIDSCON -------------------------------------------------

  43. The following 17 installation files should have been extracted
  44. from KIDCON50.ZIP:

  52. From the Windows Program Manager, select the File menu, and choose
  53. Run.  Type at the command line, the path of the extracted files
  54. plus setup.exe (example: "c:\temp\setup.exe").  Follow the
  55. instructions provided.

  57. After you have successfully installed the KIDSCON program, you
  58. should delete all the installation files as listed above, as they
  59. are no longer required.

  71. VBRUN300.DLL and THREED.VBX will be installed in your \windows
  72. \system directory if they do not exist, or if the existing installed
  73. files are not current versions.  All other files are installed in
  74. the selected installation directory.

  76. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------------------------------------
  77. 386 or better PC
  78. 4 meg RAM or better
  79. Microsoft Windows 3.1 and a mouse
  80. VGA or SVGA monitor
  81. soundcard recommended (such as Sound Blaster or compatible)
  82. 2.5 meg of free disk space for program files

  84. UNINSTALLING KIDSCON -----------------------------------------------
  85. Delete the program KIDSCON.EXE and support files KC_MAT.VBX,
  86. KC_ALP.VBX, KC_NUM.VBX, KC_PRO.VBX, KC_MNU.SND, and README.TXT.  You
  87. can do this by deleting the KIDSCON directory which will delete all
  88. files contained within the directory. DO NOT delete VBRUN300.DLL and
  89. THREED.VBX from your windows\system directory, as these may be used
  90. by other applications you have installed.
